The cultural palace of Sevan was built in 1966-1976. The architects of the building were M. Mikayelyan and Z. Simonyan. At that time, Suren Zakaryan was the secretary of Raikom, who very strictly monitored and followed the construction of the building. The Palace of Culture was named after him.
The benches and curtains were brought from Russia. At one time, there were theater and singing groups, and ensembles performed in different countries. "Sevan" dance ensemble received the title of folk.
